This is a
playground to test code. It runs a full
Node.js environment and already has all of
npm’s 1,000,000+ packages pre-installed, including
apache-crypt with all
npm packages installed. Try it out:
This service is provided by RunKit and is not affiliated with npm, Inc or the package authors.
Node.js package for Apache style password encryption using crypt(3).
Via git (or downloaded tarball):
$ git clone git://github.com/http-auth/apache-crypt.git
$ npm install apache-crypt
const crypt = require("apache-crypt"); // Encrypting password using auto-generated 2 char salt. const encryptedPassword = crypt("mypass"); // Should print true. console.log(crypt("mypass", encryptedPassword) == encryptedPassword); // Should print false. console.log(crypt("notmypass", encryptedPassword) == encryptedPassword);
It uses mocha, so just run following command in package directory:
$ npm test
