RunKit +

Try any Node.js package right in your browser

This is a playground to test code. It runs a full Node.js environment and already has all of npm’s 400,000 packages pre-installed, including arr-filter with all npm packages installed. Try it out:

var arrFilter = require("arr-filter")

arr-filter v1.1.2

Faster alternative to javascript's native filter method.

arr-filter NPM version NPM monthly downloads NPM total downloads Linux Build Status

Faster alternative to javascript's native filter method.

Install with npm:

$ npm install --save arr-filter

var filter = require('arr-filter');

filter(['a', {a: 'b'}, 1, 'b', 2, {c: 'd'}, 'c'], function (ele) {
  return typeof ele === 'string';
//=> ['a', 'b', 'c']

Why another array filter?

array-filter is pretty popular, but it's tuned to be used in older browsers and it falls back on native .filter() when available, which is much slower. See jsperf results. The functions used in the benchmarks are the top performers from a dozen or so other functions.
