RunKit +

Try any Node.js package right in your browser

This is a playground to test code. It runs a full Node.js environment and already has all of npm’s 400,000 packages pre-installed, including grunt-contrib-validate-xml with all npm packages installed. Try it out:

grunt-contrib-validate-xml lists no main file and has no index.js, so it can't be directly required. If this is a mistake, please let us know. It may however contain internal files that you can require manually:

require("grunt/package.json"); // grunt is a peer dependency. // require("grunt-contrib-validate-xml/[??]")

This service is provided by RunKit and is not affiliated with npm, Inc or the package authors.

grunt-contrib-validate-xml v0.0.1

Grunt plugin to validate XML files

grunt-contrib-validate-xml

A Grunt XML validation plugin forked from https://github.com/kajyr/grunt-xml-validator

This was made mainly due to the grunt-xml-validator plugin being outdated.

Getting Started

This plugin requires Grunt >=0.4.0

If you haven't used Grunt before, be sure to check out the Getting Started guide, as it explains how to create a Gruntfile as well as install and use Grunt plugins. Once you're familiar with that process, you may install this plugin with this command:

npm install grunt-contrib-validate-xml --save-dev

Once the plugin has been installed, it may be enabled inside your Gruntfile with this line of JavaScript:

grunt.loadNpmTasks('grunt-contrib-validate-xml');

The "validate_xml" task

Overview

In your project's Gruntfile, add a section named validate_xml to the data object passed into grunt.initConfig().

grunt.initConfig({
  validate_xml: {
    your_target: {
      src: [ 'your_files/*.xml', 'another_file.xml' ]
    },
  },
});
