RunKit +

Try any Node.js package right in your browser

This is a playground to test code. It runs a full Node.js environment and already has all of npm’s 400,000 packages pre-installed, including vcarl-scripts with all npm packages installed. Try it out:

vcarl-scripts lists no main file and has no index.js, so it can't be directly required. If this is a mistake, please let us know. It may however contain internal files that you can require manually:

// require("vcarl-scripts/[??]")

This service is provided by RunKit and is not affiliated with npm, Inc or the package authors.

Problem

There's a bunch of boilerplate to setting up a new library, and I want to share improvements to testing or build steps across libraries.

Solution

A github repo that self-ejects leaving you with a pristine setup for a new project (Except it doesn't rename the parent folder). It also gets published as an NPM package for the resulting project to use.

Usage

git clone ssh://git@github.com/vcarl/vcarl-scripts
cd vcarl-scripts
npm eject

After ejecting,

  • Finish package.json
    • name
    • repository
  • Rename containing folder
